The farm is owned by the Steiner family since 1910. Rupert Steiner has extended his farm by buying the neighbouring farm, the Döllerlehen, which was owned by his brother Johann. The house has always been especially valued by families who can spend their holidays retreated from the crowded cities and streets where the children have endless room to play inside and outside and the parents can still enjoy the luxurious vibe of a private house with sauna and chalet style interior. All in all, the farm covers 38 hectares of land of which most of it is situated on steep mountainous areas. This area is enough to produce food for approximately 55 farm animals which include horses, cows, goats, poultry and much much more. The farm is certified as an organic farm since 1993, although everything that is being produced on this farm is based on what is best for the soil and nature.

We have always striven to bring our agricultural methods up to date with the knowledge we have about health and sustainability in animals and plants. The alpine location of the farm at 1000 meters above sea level requires the adaptation of harvesting methods. Many of the surrounding farms also still make use of many traditional techniques to cultivate their fields and meadows. One of our main priorities is the realization of biodiversity and a more holistic approach to agriculture.
