Hiking, Skiing and Discovering Nature
On Your Vacation in the Hohe Tauern Region

The popularity of the Pinzgauer region, especially for nature and sports enthusiasts, can be traced back to the geographic conditions in which the massive glacier areas of the Hohe Tauern are combined with the moderate grassy mountains of the Pinzgauer Sonnberg, whereby hikers and mountaineers in particular benefit from diverse routes. In addition, our region scores with breathtaking mountain lakes, diverse valleys and traditional alpine areas. The expansion of lifts for skiing but also hiking was decisive for the modernization of the region, although the emphasis was also placed on establishing and maintaining nature conservation and national park areas as a balance. Above all, the cooperation between the municipalities, the tourism associations and the farmers meant that holiday guests were given an insight into the beauty and nature of the Pinzgau region. This is still crucial for the success of the region and the satisfaction of the guests. This also ensures that knowledge and understanding of rural traditions and local food production are based on multicultural contact and the exchange of knowledge.

Knowledge transfer and constant learning are important to us. Therefore, we would like to encourage you not to limit your questions to the accommodation, but to approach our region and the farm with curiosity and a thirst for knowledge; because in dialogue with one another, wecan convey the growth of sustainable and regional agriculture.
